The Montour Trail in October is one of those things you only get for a few weeks a year. Come January, you’re going to miss it. 🍂

A few of our picks:

Walk out onto the Library Trestle. It’s a 506-foot old railroad trestle, and it’s even better with fall color underneath. Stop in the middle and take the picture.

Go on a weekday morning if you can. The trail is an old railroad bed, so it’s flat and easy for strollers, bikes and dogs.

Peak color around Pittsburgh is usually mid-to-late October, so the next few weekends are the window.
