Consider becoming a monthly donor. The pantry is a vital need in our community. With more and more people struggling, their resources are already stretched thin. Now, with the govt shutdown, it is going to be unsustainable with people not getting their SNAP benefits (food stamps).

🌟 BECOME A MONTHLY DONOR TO THE DORMONT FREE PANTRY 🌟

We’ve been planning this fundraising drive for a while, but the need has become more urgent. You may have seen in the news that due to the federal government shutdown, PA residents who receive SNAP benefits will not receive them in November.

People experiencing food insecurity often patch together many forms of support to make ends meet. Losing SNAP will impact a lot of our shoppers in a huge way. We are always busier around the holidays, but we expect to be inundated in the next few weeks.

It’s the Dormont Free Pantry’ 5th birthday this year. For 5 years, we’ve served 1000s of folks in the South Hills with your support. But now we need you more than ever - given this and other changes in federal funding for food banks and benefits, we aren’t sure what the future will look like for our pantry.

How can you help? Become a monthly donor! Having stable, predictable funding helps us make decisions about how many shoppers we can serve at our open hours and how much we can give.
