What a week for Pittsburgh! The 2026 NFL Draft brought an incredible energy to the city, and it was hard to miss how much of that excitement was centered right here in our backyard.

Big news for Mt. Alvernia! We've been awarded a $3 million state grant through the PA Department of Community & Economic Development's Mixed-Use Revitalization Program, helping pave the way for the redevelopment of this historic 24-acre campus in Millvale and Shaler.

This support, made possible in part through the PA Housing Action Plan and Governor Shapiro, is a meaningful step toward restoring the 1897 motherhouse. We've been working hard to restore the space while honoring its architectural history and deep ties to the surrounding neighborhoods.

Grant funding will go toward sitework, stormwater management, and clearing secondary structures to help us reach our financing goals for Phase 1.

The NFL Draft is coming to the Cultural District this April, and we are looking forward to the debut of Arts Landing! The draft will be the first event at this brand-new four-acre park by the The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.

Our residents at Eighth & Penn will have a special view of the activities from the rooftop deck! There will be live music, food trucks, and an activity zone!

Check out the Arts Landing for the NFL Draft between Thursday, April 23, to Saturday, April 25. The event opens daily at 9 AM and is FREE to the public.
