Lindsay and I are teaming up to help spread a little warmth throughout our Pittsburgh community this winter!

We're collecting winter clothing and essentials for local families and shelters in need, and we've set a goal to collect at least 50 items!
But you know we'd love to blow that number out of the water! ❤️

🧤 What we're collecting:
New or gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, socks and toiletries.

📍 Drop-off locations:
Our Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices offices in Mt. Lebanon and Upper St. Clair.

📅 Donations accepted through November 19th!

Some real estate transactions are about so much more than buying or selling a home. 🤎

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping many families sell the home of a parent, grandparent or loved one who has passed away. And I know firsthand that when you’re grieving, the last thing you need is to feel overwhelmed by everything that comes along with selling a home.

You don’t have to have all of those answers before calling me.

Some closings mean a little more. 🤎

A very close friend asked me to help her family sell her parents’ home after the loss of her father. They were grieving, overwhelmed, and trying to navigate everything that comes along with losing someone you love.

My first advice to them was simple: take your time.

The house will be there. Do what you can, when you can. There was no reason to add the stress of rushing to get a home ready for the market while they were already going through so much.

And they did exactly that. They moved at their own pace, and when they were ready, we were ready.

Looking back, the timing feels like it was meant to be. We listed at just the right time and found the sweetest family who was genuinely excited to make this house their home. ❤️

For me, the best part was being able to take some of the burden off my friend’s family. They had already been through enough. My job was to guide them through the process, handle the details, and make this one piece of an incredibly difficult time as smooth as possible.

I am so thankful they trusted me with something that held so many memories and so much emotion.

I love a happily ever after, and after everything this family had been through, I’m especially grateful that the sale of their family home could be one. 🏡🤎

Higher rates don’t always mean it’s time to hit the brakes. 🏡🍂

I had this exact conversation with a buyer today after getting their updated preapproval.

Yes, rates have gone up. But we’re also heading into a time of year when buyers can sometimes get a little negotiating power back. Fewer bidding wars, less competition and more opportunity to actually negotiate instead of feeling like you have to throw everything at an offer just to win.

There’s more to buying a home than just the interest rate.

Sometimes the better question is… what does the whole opportunity look like right now?
