We need a strong downtown Pittsburgh to have a thriving region. Redevelopment downtown will drive jobs, growth, tax revenue, and investment throughout the city. And the new Transit Revitalization Investment District (TRID) policy that City Council approved is a smart way to get us there.

This new federal housing law is a big deal.

🏗️ Streamlined regulations to speed up building
🏢 New rules that will help lower construction costs
💰 New funding and incentives to boost investment

The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is exactly the kind of pro-growth, bipartisan, commonsense public policy we need. It will make it easier for us to build more of the multi-family housing projects that our communities need to help bring down the cost of housing, create jobs, and grow revenue.

It's always good to see policymakers looking at ways to lower the cost of housing by building more of it. The bottom line is that we need more housing units — of all types.

Legislation like this to make it easier to build accessory dwelling units would help. And we'll keep doing our part to deliver multi-family buildings that create community and bring vibrancy, jobs, and growth.
