Have a wonderful weekend

As we celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker today, we pray for our dear neighbors - the dreamers, the builders, all who labor - whether that work is seen or unseen.

We lift up your intentions in prayer today to St. Joseph and ask his protection for all workers, without distinction, that the dignity of each person and the work of their hands and heart be valued and celebrated, today and every day.

Save us from crossing the river to go over to Oakmont or up to the Giant Eagle on Route 8 ( where they added an Ace Hardware inside) . This is needed & will do well. Now let's get Old Navy back

A large storefront at The Waterworks, empty since mid-December, soon will house the area’s only hardware store. Buddy’s Ace Hardware is scheduled to open the second week of May in the former Staples location. “We felt this market really needed a good hardware store,” owner Vi...

Let there be Peace on Earth & Let it Begin with Me, let there be peace on Earth, the peace that was meant to be. With God as our Father.

Yesterday was St. Catherine of Siena’s feast day. She was known for her deep faith, wisdom, and courage, and her words still speak powerfully today:

“Be who God created you to be, and you will set the world on fire.”

There’s a lot to think about in that. How can we trust a little more deeply in who God created us to be?

How can we spend a little less time comparing, or doubting, and a little more time walking in trust, courage, and peace?

A simple prayer for today:
Lord, help me quiet the noise that pulls me away from who You created me to be.
Strengthen what is true within me.
Give me the grace to walk in trust, courage, and peace.
Amen. 🤍

Just took poster off the window. Making blueberry/blackberry muffins with oatmeal/walnut crunch top. They're Healthy, though have to be exhausted. Was getting dizzy watching & waiting. It's a tough Love ❤️. Ronnie, Jagr, Mario, the Alumni all need to relax this weekend. We will be at Uncorked, the Blue Haven, & Baja/Fox Chapel Yacht Club for live music 🎶.

My last two years of High School were spent on the lower level of this Landmark, and the Gym was tremendous for our Basketball Games & Functions. So many memories & great dances !

A long-vacant historic campus in Millvale and Shaler is one step closer to new life.

A $3 million state grant will help kickstart the $100 million redevelopment of Mt. Alvernia, transforming the former Sisters of St. Francis site into housing, childcare space and community amenities — while preserving its historic character.

Leaders say the project could create jobs and bring new energy to the area, turning a landmark property back into a hub for the community.
