A few simple ways to enjoy June around Chicagoland.

June is one of my favorite times to slow down a little and enjoy what our local communities have to offer. Whether it is a farmers' market, a walk through a local park, a neighborhood event, or a simple coffee stop somewhere new, there are so many small ways to feel connected to the place you call home.

If you are looking for something to do this month, I always recommend starting local. Sometimes the best memories are made close to home.

One of my favorite things is celebrating and encouraging young people.

That’s why I wanted to make sure every 4th grader at my son’s school received a promotion yard sign to recognize this important milestone. I spent some time getting them ready and included a special note for each family, congratulating their child and wishing them success in all their future endeavors.

Sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest impact. Our children deserve to be celebrated, encouraged, and reminded that their hard work matters.

Congratulations to all of the students moving on to their next chapter. Keep dreaming big and reaching for your goals. We’re all rooting for you! 🎓

If you are thinking about selling this summer, now is the time to start getting your home ready.

You do not have to do everything at once, and you do not need to make every possible update. But small, thoughtful improvements can make a big difference in how buyers see your home.

Start with the basics:
- Clear the clutter.
- Touch up paint where needed.
- Make sure the entryway feels clean and welcoming.
- Take care of small repairs you have been putting off.
- Think about curb appeal because first impressions matter.

The goal is not to make your home perfect. The goal is to help buyers feel comfortable, confident, and excited when they walk through the door.

If you are not sure where to start, I can walk through the home with you and help you decide what is worth doing before you list.

Closing day. For most buyers, it feels like the finish line. But knowing what to expect before you get there makes the whole experience so much less stressful.

Here is a simple breakdown of what happens at closing:
- You will review and sign a lot of documents. Bring your ID and be prepared to take your time. Nothing gets rushed.
- You will pay your closing costs. Your lender will give you a Closing Disclosure ahead of time so there are no surprises.
- Keys change hands. Once everything is signed and funds are transferred, the home is yours.
- The whole process usually takes one to two hours. After that, you are a homeowner.

If you have questions about the buying process at any stage, I am always happy to walk you through it. That is exactly what I am here for.

My Brandon, I still can’t believe you’re turning 21
Like… how did this even happen?!

You came into my life and changed it for the better, and these last 21 years have been nothing short of a blessing. Watching you grow into the young man you are today has been one of the greatest joys.

I’m so proud of you and so excited to see all the amazing things you’re going to do next.

I love you more than you’ll ever know 💙

But seriously Facebook… how is he 21 when I’m only 22?! 🫥

Y'all help me wish SonnyMan a happy 21st birthday!

Big thank you to Safe Harbor Safety and Training Equipment and Kelly Underwood for an awesome CPR class!

I was proud to sponsor this training. Kelly created a relaxed, informative, and hands-on environment that made learning easy and effective. Everyone left feeling more confident and prepared.

You never know when CPR could save a life! 👏

Memorial Day is more than the start of a long weekend. It is a time to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

To those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and to the families who carry that loss every day, we remember you. We honor you. And we are forever grateful.

As a Veteran, this day holds a deeper meaning for me. It is a reminder of the weight of service and the cost of freedom. Being able to serve fellow Veterans and their families here in the Chicagoland area is one of the greatest honors of my life.

If you know a Veteran or Gold Star family who could use guidance or support when it comes to homeownership, I am always here as a resource. Please feel free to tag them below or send me a message.

A little to the ACE MLK Day Unity Brunch. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett was a sight to see, that woman stands on BUSINESS! Grateful for moments that bring people together and remind us why community matters.

There’s something special in the military called a challenge coin.

It’s not just a coin. It’s recognition. It’s respect. It’s a symbol that says, “You showed up. You did the work. You made an impact.”

For 20 years, I watched coins get handed down from leaders to Soldiers to mark moments that mattered. Not for perfection, but for commitment, grit, and mission success.

So I decided to bring that same tradition into my real estate business.

I created my own custom coin… and now, every client I serve will receive one.

Because buying or selling a home isn’t just a transaction. It’s a mission. It takes trust, patience, and a whole lot of moving parts. And when we reach the finish line, that deserves to be recognized.

This coin is my way of saying:
You trusted me with something big.
You stayed the course.
And we accomplished the mission together.

It means more to me than you probably realize… because I don’t give these lightly.

Your goals are my mission. Always.

Finding the right home is about more than square footage and school districts. It is about finding a place where you feel like you belong.

For my LGBTQ+ clients, that means finding a neighborhood where you and your family will be welcomed, respected, and at home in every sense of the word.

Here is what I focus on when working with LGBTQ+ buyers in the Chicagoland area:
- Community feel and neighborhood culture.
- Proximity to affirming businesses, services, and organizations.
- Local ordinances and protections.
- A buying process that is judgment-free from start to finish.

You deserve an agent who gets it. I am here, I am family as well as an ally, and I would be honored to help you find your place. Send me a message anytime.
