Planting these little bulbs like Scilla siberica couldn't be easier! I like to dig out a few inches of soil, pop them in, and cover them back up, all cozy for the winter.
Not only is this a chance to enjoy nature, it gives you another thing to look forward to in the spring. And a bonus: these bulbs come back year after year.
The magnificence of a landscape bursting in bloom in the spring is a big reward with minimal effort.

Thank you to Nichole Meachum and Alyssia Betsinger from Abby Properties in Yorkville, representing the Townes of Kendall Marketplace, for the new townhome tour and the fabulous Industry Appreciation Event they recently hosted.

The new townhomes are bright, cheerful, and have a well-thought out, thoroughly livable floor plan. I especially liked the 9' ceilings on the first floor. Granite countertops, upgraded cabinetry, Moen fixtures, and stainless appliances are all standard features. I was impressed.

And, the location of these townhomes makes shopping, restaurants, health care, and even getting into the city so convenient!

I can feel it in the air....Yorkville is growing, and the excitement about our town is almost palpable. Yes, the secret is out. Yorkville is a friendly and safe town, good schools, and a growth vibe that's hard to resist. It's close enough to Chicago, yet far enough from Chicago. What more could you ask? Muralist Joshua Schultz celebrates our city with a mural, highlighting our historic downtown.
But Yorkville's historic beginnings are just the start of an even brighter and more vibrant future.
