Home buyers are factoring in Thanksgiving as they search for their next home. More than half (52%) of U.S. adults said finding a home where they can host the big feast has played a role in their search, according to a recent Realtor.com survey.

Housing inventory is very low -- below pandemic levels. What's surprising in the chart below is that there’s an increase in the number of sellers listing their houses later this year than usual. A peak this late in the year isn’t typical. You can see both the normal seasonal trend and the unusual August. If you’ve been putting off selling your house, now may be the sweet spot to make your move because, if this trend continues, you’ll have more competition the longer you wait.

Two Dallas-area cities are rated as the best real estate markets in the country. And four of the six top U.S. property markets are in North Texas.

McKinney and Frisco took the top spots in WalletHub's 2023′s Best Real Estate Markets report. Denton ranked fourth and Allen was sixth in the annual nationwide study.

Austin ranked eighth on WalletHub’s top 10 markets list, giving Texas cities half the spots in the ranking.

Stats are out from the Texas Association of Realtors on Q2. DFW had the fastest rising home prices in Texas... up 21.4% from a year ago making the median home price $425,000. With the inventory of homes normalizing the prices are staying solid and it's still a great time to list your house.
