One of the things I really detest about being in my mid-70s is too many friends die. Seems it's never ending the death notices.
My heart is really heavy today upon learning of the death of a 50 year or so friend and fellow Auctioneer Bill Yonce. Bill and I have worked more auctions together than I can count and we had a great time together at each one. Oh the stories there are from these times. In addition we attended so many auctioneer conventions together. This many could tell stories that would leave everyone around crying from laughing so hard. I often told him he should be a stand up comedian.
It makes me even sadder to know he passed away August 13 and his funeral was on August 19 and I just find out about it today, September 3rd, 2024. I would have attended his funeral.
People make a list of friends, friends your next of kin may not be aware of, to be notified upon your death. People who you know would want to know. List their phone numbers, email address etc and ask they be contacted as soon as possible. I have such a list.
Julie K Mendenhall, were you and Wayne Mendenhall aware Bill had passed?
Some of my fellow auctioneers may not be aware so I'm posting Bill's obituary here.
