Millie. A school teacher noticed her frequently in the neighborhood. Sadly, her puppy was hit by a car and she refused to leave her motionless puppy. Animal Control arrived and she allowed them to take her puppy and she was lifted into the vehicle and brought to Harbor Shelter. The 3 month old puppy didn’t make it.

Millie was full of milk, sad, and she now had to acclimate to shelter life. She has blossomed into a wonderful dog who is engaging, loves to be near people, and give kisses. She has a perpetual tail wag, and an easy-going, friendly personality. She can also be playful and chase toys in the yard. She loves to go for walks outside the shelter and she has participated in several dog play groups. Millie is a very sweet dog and she would make a wonderful family addition. Come meet this brindle beauty at the Harbor Shelter.

"I’ve been waiting… and waiting… but no one has come. My leg hurts, but I don’t cry—I just lay here, hoping someone will see me. But now, they say I’m out of time."

MIKE is just 1 year old, and already, he has lost everything. He came to the shelter as a stray, scared and alone. He has a healing leg fracture, but instead of getting help… he was put on the kill list.

🆘 THE DEADLINE IS TOMORROW: MARCH 19, 1 PM.
If no one steps up, Mike will be euthanized immediately.

Mike, a brindle-coated German Shepherd mix, lays curled up on a thin yellow blanket inside a cold, metal kennel. His pleading brown eyes look straight at the camera, silently begging for a second chance.

His ears are perked but hesitant, his body slightly tense—he doesn’t understand why he’s here, why no one has come.

Behind him, scratches and dirt stain the metal walls of his kennel. The tiny space offers no warmth, no comfort. The only thing he has is time—and that is running out.

Leaf is just 9 months old—a young Border Collie mix who’s too scared to ask for the love he so desperately needs. He sits quietly, his small frame pressed against the corner of his kennel, hoping to disappear from the world that has let him down. But with a soft wag of his tail and a willingness to trust, Leaf shows that he’s still holding onto hope.

When volunteers met Leaf, he was hesitant, but he allowed gentle pets and even offered his belly, proving he just needs a bit of patience and kindness to bloom. Despite his timid nature, Leaf’s sweetness shines through. Tragically, this precious boy is scheduled for euthanasia on Monday, November 18, unless someone steps in to save him.
