I grew up in the Martinez/Pleasant Hill and love that I still call this area home. I have worked in many aspects of real estate & construction for many years, including new home construction. This has given me knowledge beyond just selling real estate. Helping others find a new place to call home is what I love most. It would be my pleasure to help you with any of your home buying or selling needs.

Every transaction has its own personality… and this one definitely kept us on our toes.

These buyers moved quickly and made confident decisions from the start, which made all the difference once we hit a few bumps along the way. Between FHA appraisal hurdles and some loan requirements, there were moments that could have easily slowed things down.

But this is where teamwork matters.

The agent on the other side was fantastic, communicative, solution-focused, and truly collaborative. Together, we worked through each obstacle and kept things moving forward for our clients.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about a “perfect” transaction… it’s about how everyone shows up when it’s not.

And this one? It got to the finish line 👏

Thinking about buying this year and wondering what happens when things don’t go exactly as planned? I’m always happy to walk you through it.

Dryer vent cleaning isn’t exactly thrilling… but it’s one of those small things that makes a big difference. 👀

Most people clean the lint trap (gold star ⭐️), but the vent line behind your dryer is what often gets overlooked.

Over time, lint builds up in that line, which can:
✔️ Make your dryer work harder
✔️ Increase drying time (and your energy bill)
✔️ Overheat your appliance
✔️ Become a potential fire risk

The good news? You can do a quick check in just a few minutes.

I put together a simple guide on:
• What to look for
• Warning signs you shouldn’t ignore
• How often to clean it

Because smart homeownership usually isn’t about big upgrades… it’s about small, consistent habits like this.

First-time buyers will always have a special place in my heart ♥️

There are a lot of moving pieces, a lot of questions, and usually a little stress mixed in, but that’s where I come in.

Amy & David trusted me to guide them through it all (and yes… even a little backyard cleanup 😅).

If buying is on your mind this year, I’m here to help you feel confident every step of the way.

Spring = reset season 🌿

Before life gets busy, here’s a quick 10-minute homeowner check that’s actually worth doing:

✔️ Test your smoke & carbon monoxide detectors
✔️ Check under sinks for small leaks
✔️ Know where your main water shutoff is

Nothing major. Just simple habits that protect your home (and your sanity).

Most home issues don’t come from big, dramatic problems… they come from small things that went unnoticed for too long.

And if selling is even a possibility down the road, this kind of upkeep makes a bigger difference than people expect. Homes that feel cared for just show better, plain and simple.

If you want a simple seasonal checklist to keep things on track, I’m happy to share one 👍

After all that rain… sunshine never looked so good ☀️

Before you fully switch into spring mode, here’s a quick homeowner habit that can save you time (and money):
Take 10 minutes and walk around your house.

Nothing intense. Just a simple check for the little things winter may have left behind, like drainage, gutters, or small exterior wear.

It’s not glamorous, but catching small issues now = avoiding bigger repairs later.

And if selling is even a maybe this year, this kind of upkeep matters more than you think. Buyers notice 👀

After a stretch of rain here in Contra Costa County, most of us are just happy to see the sun again. ☀️ But before we fully move into spring mode, there’s one simple habit that can help protect your home long term.

Take 10 minutes and walk around the outside of your house.

You’re not looking for anything dramatic — just small signs winter may have left behind:
✔️ Pooling water near the foundation
✔️ Loose gutters or downspouts
✔️ Peeling paint or exposed wood
✔️ Small cracks or gaps in siding

Catching little issues early can prevent bigger repairs later.

Many homes in Bay Area were built decades ago. They’re solid homes, they just benefit from small seasonal check-ins like this.

If selling is even a maybe someday thought, exterior maintenance also makes a big difference in how a home shows and what inspectors notice.

I wrote a quick blog post walking through exactly what to look for.

Congratulations to these buyers! 🏡 I love helping clients in every stage of life but first-time buyers always feel a little extra special.

Amy & I had chatted occasionally on social media about real estate over the years. A few months ago she mentioned that she and her husband, David, were hoping to buy in the New Year. I connected them with one of my favorite lenders, Connie Jarvis at GTG Financial , and once they were preapproved in December, we started the search.

This was the first house we toured and it checked a lot of boxes. It had been on the market for a few months and had recently had a price reduction. We were able to negotiate an even lower purchase price and after inspections, an additional credit for some necessary repairs. 🙌

I’m so happy for Amy and David and hope they enjoy making memories in their new home for many years to come. 🏡✨

Fun fact: I’ve known Amy for a few years because she gives amazing massages. I don’t get them often, but when I need one, she’s the one I call! 💆‍♀️

If your house has that one room that never feels warm enough… this might be why. 👀

Even here in Contra Costa County, tiny gaps around windows and doors can quietly drive up your PG&E bill and make your home less comfortable than it should be.

The good news? This is one of the easiest (and most affordable) home maintenance projects you can tackle. No renovation. No contractor. Just a simple fix that can make a noticeable difference.

In this post I’m sharing:
✔️ How to check for drafts in under 10 minutes
✔️ What to look for around doors and windows
✔️ Easy DIY fixes that actually work

Sometimes protecting your home (and your wallet) comes down to small, smart steps like this.

And if you’re thinking about moving in the next 1–3 years, upsizing, downsizing, or just exploring options, these little maintenance decisions now can pay off later.
