We highly recommend Pleasant Hill’s new Farmers Market. 9 am to 1 pm downtown behind City Hall Saturday mornings.
Last week we saw lovely fresh produce. Lots of organic. We love the baskets of berries! Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries. Excellent!
All vegetables looked so high quality.
In addition? Booths selling a variety of specialty goods, too many to list here. But a few I recall? Honey, hummus , bakery variety, coffee, mushrooms and much more!! Come see!

Lazy Dog Restsurant in the Willows in Concord. It gets a huge 👏👏👏. My book club met there last month, and today and wants to make it our regular meet for lunch locale.
The menu is varied and fun. Prices are very reasonable and servings are generous. Today everyone was oohing and awing over my blackened shrimp tacos with beans and rice and a s’mores brownie for dessert. Only $15!!! Other ladies got a lovely $12 lunch special. I just want to share this in case you want to check it out!

The market remains in a relative stasis in terms of sales to inventory. Prices have not been moving higher for several weeks. However, inventory is sufficiently low to keep us in the Seller’s Market zone so watch changes in the MAI. If the market heats up persistently, prices are likely to resume an upward climb.
