Happy Thanksgiving from the Wood Creek Staff-Helpful Hints and Hours!
Wood Creek Residents!
The Holiday Season is upon us!! This season is full of delicious food and good times and we all want to spend that time enjoying with our family and friends!
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, Wood Creek Office will be closed at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 and all day Thursday, November 25, 2021 .
During this time our service team will be available for maintenance emergencies only. Emergencies are defined as no plumbing in an apartment, flooding, gas odors and no heat in extreme temperatures (below 50 degrees).
A common service concern over the holiday is a clogged disposal, here are some tips to avoid this unfortunate maintenance issue, as this is not a maintenance emergency and our team will not be available to assist you until we return on Friday, November 26, 2021.
Most foods are not pipe-friendly and will cause clogs, in general avoid putting food down your disposal and put in the trash instead. These include rice, pasta, bread, peels of any kind (onions, potatoes, fruit), egg shells, coffee grounds, corn husks and silk, and stringy vegetables. Also avoid aquarium gravel, bottle caps, coins, nutshells and paper/food packaging. Larger quantities of food should always be disposed of in the trash.
To properly use your disposal run cold water, turn on the disposal, and allow the small amounts of food to go down while the water is running, turn off the disposal and let the water run for about 10 seconds more.
If your disposal does not work, press the reset button located on the bottom of the unit. If you have pressed it and it still does not work, please submit a service request on the portal for our team to attend to when we return, Friday, November 26th.
In case of emergency follow the steps below:
- Call the office number, (925) 682-2898
- When speaking to the emergency dispatch team please be sure to clearly state the apartment address, a call back number, as well as the issue you're experiencing. Please also let us know if we have permission to enter your apartment or not.
From our Wood Creek Family to yours, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving and please continue to be safe!!
