I met Pamela Anderson yesterday — no, not that one. I met Pamela Anderson at Sargento Cheese, and what a kind person she is. I have met so many wonderful people during this fundraising journey, and I should probably be recognizing all of them. Today, though, I want to recognize Pamela. I had contacted her about donating cheese to hand out at the fair, since we will be fundraising from the cheese curd stand in Brzezinski Centennial Hall. I thought it would be fun to offer free cheese from a cheese curd stand.
Pamela arranged the cheese for us, but there was one small problem: the donation was in Plymouth, and I needed to pick it up this week. So I drove down. When I arrived, I realized I may never have replied to her email about what kind of cheese we wanted. At least, I do not think I did — and this is where age may have played a role. Pamela laughed and said, “I never placed the order,” and then we were both laughing.
We talked for a while about life and a few other things, and she even mentioned that she had read the material I sent her. She knew about my husband and me, which means someone actually read the May newsletter! I was thrilled. Pamela knew I had driven quite a distance, and although I would have made the trip again for free cheese, she made a call and helped make sure I received the donation that day. Somewhere in the chatting Pamela gave me the contact information for a financial donation from Sargento (who I will be contacting in the near future).
She was wonderful, and I was so grateful. At one point, she mentioned retiring, and I told her not to because someone would probably find her a full-time volunteer job — meaning me and this fundraising adventure. As much work as it is, I truly love it because of people like Pamela.
There are many people like her whom I have met over the last few months, and I hope to recognize more of them soon. In the meantime, come find us in the new building for a free string cheese, a smile, and maybe even a friendly request for a donation.

I don’t think we thank people enough. Of course, we’re grateful to the fundraising committee, but I also want to recognize Randy Wanta of Wanta and Son; Ryan Wanta, the building designer; Becky Rogalla with Wanta and son (and daughter), who keeps everything moving behind the scenes; and Chad Malek, who has somehow become our lead construction engineer. I’m also thankful for the roughly 25 gentlemen who were working on the building today—truly amazing. Randy generously bought lunch for those of us connected to the project, and when I asked for donations, the crew contributed $480. I challenged them to reach $1,000, but every bit matters. Their willingness to reach into their pockets for extra cash says a lot. Thank you to everyone who believes this building is worth the effort. It will be a wonderful place for families, friends, neighbors, in-laws, out-laws, and everyone in between to gather. Thank you for your support.

You may have heard that Brzezinski Centennial Hall has gone “way” over budget, and we want to share a little perspective. Large building projects often experience cost increases, with average overruns around 28%. At this point, we are about 15% over our original budget. While costs have been higher than expected, we are still working hard to manage the project responsibly and move it forward.
We still have about $500,000 left to raise, and every gift brings us closer to finishing this important community building. One special opportunity is our two steel beams, one on each side of the building. Each beam represents a $100,000 naming opportunity and would place a donor’s name on a lasting part of Brzezinski Centennial Hall.
We know not everyone can give $100,000—but together, we can make a lasting impact. This page has 1,350 followers. If every follower donated $100, we would raise $135,000 for Brzezinski Centennial Hall.
Here is the challenge: if we raise $100,000 through donations of $100 or more by September 1, we would like to hold a drawing and place one donor’s name on one of the building’s steel beams—a permanent part of Brzezinski Centennial Hall. We must reach the full $100,000 goal in order to hold the drawing, and each $100 is worth one chance. Please help us spread the word. Invite your friends, neighbors, family, and coworkers to take part in this chance to be part of local history.

We have added Rosholt Hill Century Association (RHCA), a non-profit company, to our Facebook name because RHCA has led the fundraising, paid for construction, and will manage Brzezinski Centennial Hall once it is complete.

We are volunteers—not professional fundraisers—and we receive no pay or perks. We are committed to bringing this vision to life because we love our community, believe in its potential, and understand what this building will make possible. By planning for tomorrow, we can help ensure the values we share today continue for generations.

It’s official: Brzezinski Centennial Hall!
The Anthony P. Brzezinski Foundation has secured naming rights to Centennial Hall, which will now be named Brzezinski Centennial Hall. I added the new name to our cover photo yesterday in case you missed it.
A heartfelt thank-you to the Brzezinski Foundation for their generous second donation, which made the naming rights possible.
Stay tuned for the date of another “big check” ceremony!
