With Thanksgiving week here, it always draws my mind to family and the small things we did together through the years and those precious memories.

My Grandma Reed was a wonderful baker! I remember the smell of her homemade wheat bread rising on the counter and then baking in the oven. She always made sure we had a birthday cake with sticky and gooey icing. (Don't have the recipe for that one.)

We had a fun an busy weekend and I baked banana bread to share using Grandma's recipe. It was delicious!!! Doubled the recipe and made one with chocolate chips.....because that makes everything better!!!

Make those phone calls, give those hugs and thoughtful conversation, because one day we are just left with those precious memories.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

When you are trying to keep things organized and tidy, living in a small space is often a challenge. Do we NEED all these items? Perhaps, we need to pair down on some items that we could do without.

Personally, in our home, we have added an additional shelf to the top portion of the closet (above the standard shelf). This will double your storage space and be kind to your wallet.

Kitchen cabinets are also a great place to "FIND" some extra space. All of the small appliances and bakeware can be a challenge. This cabinet in our home had no shelves! We added a shelf and built an additional shelving unit to put underneath. We now have room and accessibility for the items we use on a regular basis, as well as the items that are used with less frequency.
