30 years! It doesn’t seem possible that Dad and I’s tradition of Red Sox/ Marathon Day has stood the test of time. No matter what is going on in our lives we know we will always be in the same place the same time, every year. Together. Safe to say that I am blessed would be a complete understatement. It was a little chilly but the sun stayed out for us the whole day in the city!

What they don’t see is everything behind it. This year, and honestly, the years before that too.

The early mornings, the long days, learning as I go, and showing up even when no one’s watching. The planning, the problem solving, the stuff you’re thinking about on your drive home or first thing in the morning.

So when someone says “you’re so lucky,” I get it.
But this year wasn’t luck.�It was earned.
