This is a Prussian Pickelhaube (spiked helmet), a model that dates to the late 19th century through WWI.
What the details tell us:
∙ Eagle plate: The Prussian eagle carries a scepter and orb, with the “FR” cipher (Fridericus Rex) on the chest. The scroll reads “Mit Gott für König und Vaterland” (“With God for King and Fatherland”).
∙ Black leather body with a brass spike, spike base plate, and brass trim along the visor edge. This is the classic infantry style.
∙ Conical spike with ventilation holes: typical of the Model 1895 pattern, which replaced the earlier, taller spikes.
Dating: The M1895 pattern was used through WWI, so this is most likely from about 1895 to 1916. It would not be from the Franco-Prussian War (1870-71), which used the earlier M1842/1860 styles with taller, more tapered spikes and different plates. The “FR” cipher was used across Prussian units, so it doesn’t pin down a regiment on its own.

These are mid-century modern lounge chairs from the 1960s.

Clean, tailored lines, slightly flared track arms, and tapered wooden legs

Welted (piped) seat cushions and a gently curved, enveloping back

Bold, large-scale abstract floral upholstery in teal, lime, olive, and gold. The painterly, almost watercolor look was very popular in the 1960s and early 70s
