How many times have we heard - "Back in my day, we had to walk uphill, in the snow just to get to school."

Well, unlike our own stories and the ones we heard from parents and grandparents, children in a remote mountainside village had quite the commute to school! Their commute was a three hour climb out of the canyon.

Eventually an elevator was built cutting their commute to thirty minutes UNTIL it became popular with tourists creating long lines SO a second, 945 foot elevator was added.

Is this why neighborhoods near schools and in certain school districts are very popular making a difference in marketability and of course, value!?!?!? 😁
