🏡 **The Fed changed rates… so what does that mean for mortgage rates?**

Here’s something that surprises a lot of buyers:

👉 **The Federal Reserve does NOT directly set mortgage rates.**

A Fed announcement may make headlines, but mortgage rates are much more closely tied to what’s happening with the **10-year Treasury**, inflation expectations, and the overall economy.

A simple way to think about it:

⛽ Oil prices rise
⬇️
📈 Inflation concerns increase
⬇️
📈 Treasury yields rise
⬇️
🏠 Mortgage rates can rise

So when you hear that the Fed raised or lowered rates, don’t automatically assume your mortgage rate just moved by the same amount.

The bigger question is: **What are inflation and Treasury yields doing next?**

And here’s the important part for homebuyers: trying to perfectly “time” interest rates can be difficult. If you’re thinking about buying, let’s look at the whole picture — your payment, price range, available homes, financing options and long-term goals — and decide what makes sense for YOU.

🏡✨ Want your home to sparkle without risking your life on a ladder? 😳🪜

Let’s talk about those second-story windows.

Clean windows can make a HUGE difference in how bright, fresh and well-maintained a home feels — whether you’re enjoying your home or getting it ready to sell. ☀️

But climbing a ladder while holding window cleaner and a squeegee? Maybe not the best weekend plan. 😂

A few safer options:

🪟 Check if your windows tilt inward. Many double-hung windows can actually be cleaned from INSIDE your home.

🧽 Use an extension pole with a mop and squeegee. Keep both feet safely on the ground!

💦 Try a water-fed pole system. These can reach upper-level windows while you stay safely below.

☁️ Skip the blazing sunshine. Cleaning windows when the glass is cooler can help prevent streaks.

And if reaching those windows still requires Olympic-level balance and bravery…

📞 Call a professional. Your windows are not worth a trip to the ER. 😂
