I felt I should share this story on my REMAX page as well as my Piece of Cake page, and after you read it, you will understand why! I’m thrilled that many of my cake customers are entrusting me to help them in the sale of their beloved homes. I've shared with you our little rustic cabin on Billington Sea, which we acquired in 2018 with a vision to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature. Well... after 8 years of resistance, I've finally surrendered to progress and had internet installed, courtesy of the efforts of the Verizon team who braved the woods to bring connectivity to our retreat. Now, I can pursue my work while taking in the breathtaking view - it's truly the best of both worlds!

I thought I would share another of my Facebook Marketplace treasures that I purchased for our cabin on Billington. There is always an entertaining story that goes along with most Marketplace transactions!

I saw a headboard for $10 on Facebook and it was located close by in Manomet. The ad said “it’s heavy and large so bring a truck”. I made arrangements to go get it, dragging Paul and his truck. I asked the woman “why only $10?” She said it was damaged from her dog and also had been left outside. We loaded it up, and then I got to work sanding it and painting it with a rustic look that fits with our cabin (this way the imperfections would not be noticeable).

Not bad for $10!
