I’ve bought and sold a lot of homes and have made costly mistakes. 😢💰but I don’t want anyone to make those SAME mistakes.
I didn’t do a sewer inspection and ended paying over $10,000 to have it replaced. That was a brutal gouge to the budget.
But my biggest regrets are the homes I didn’t buy because a family member said it was a bad deal. Years later I see that homes selling for big money that could have been mine all because someone else’s fear got in my way. 😢 😭😭😭
I’ve learned the best method to find out about the area or neighborhood is to literally ask the neighbors. They are so willing to tell you what’s going on. They know Which homes or people are the problems, what the city has planned for the area, some will even tell you to run as fast as you can from the area. It’s the best source for information. Far better than anything you can find online.
