If I had to pack up my entire home tomorrow, here are 10 things I would NEVER do:

1. I would never pack without decluttering first.In feng shui, clutter blocks energy. In real estate, it also makes moving harder and more expensive. I’m not paying to move things I don’t use.

2. I would never pack room by room. I pack by category.All artwork together. All décor together. All office supplies together. It makes unpacking feel intentional instead of chaotic.

3. I would never use random box sizes.Uniform boxes stack better, protect your items, and make the move more organized.

4. I would never overload large boxes with heavy items.Books go in small boxes. Always.

5. I would never skip detailed labeling.Not just “Kitchen.”“Kitchen - everyday dishes - open first.”

6. I would never move negative energy into a new space.Broken items, things tied to bad memories, or things I haven’t touched in years? They’re not coming with me.

7. I would never skip a first-night essentials box.Sheets, toiletries, chargers, coffee, and the things that make a new house feel comfortable immediately.

8. I would never disassemble furniture without securing hardware.Labeled bags taped directly to the piece.

9. I would never let movers guess placement.Rooms are labeled before the truck arrives so the flow of the home feels organized from day one.

10. I would never move without the right team. A good realtor doesn’t just help you buy or sell — they help coordinate the entire transition with trusted movers, lenders, attorneys, inspectors, cleaners, and every contact you need to make moving feel seamless.
