Governor Phil Murphy removed the requirement for a mounted fire extinguisher in the kitchen when selling a home—making the process a little easier. But there’s a new rule too: If a home has a backup power source (like a generator), a warning label must be placed near the electrical panel and meter to alert homeowners and first responders of potential dangers. ✅
