Beginning on Monday, February 6, contractors for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will shift travel lanes at various locations along SR 5/US 1/Overseas Highway between the Jewfish Creek Bridge (MM 108.4) and the Miami-Dade County Line (MM 112.😎 while workers take soil samples along both travel lanes and the outside shoulders.

Lane shifts will occur from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday night, for about one month. Work will be performed in the northbound and southbound direction and the speed limit will be reduced through the work zone. At least one lane will remain open in each direction at all times.
