Did you know the new 1802 windstorm inspection form is out? It has several features that make obtaining certain insurance mitigation credits easier, including roof-to-wall attachments and secondary water-resistant barriers.

These changes could save you money! All DMI inspections from April 1, 2026, are on the new form, and all inspections since January 5th can be transferred to the new form for a small fee.

You may want to speak with your trusted Florida-licensed insurance agent. And If you are shopping for homeowners insurance in this competitive market, make sure that you are doing so using the new windstorm inspection form!

Folks, after 13 years, the universal Florida Windstorm Inspection Form is about to change, and it will collect more information about your home’s mitigation features.

As of April 1, 2026, the new version of the form will be effective and the old version retired. Not to worry, DMI will be ready!

In addition, we will have the ability to review and transfer any inspection conducted in early 2026 over to the new form, should any DMI customer need this service.

Those who didn’t use DMI may be out of luck. It matters where you get your insurance inspections!

Looking for upbeat customer service representatives to help our customers book appointments and to schedule inspectors efficiently throughout Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. Teamwork is a must! Eventual possibility to work from home. Spanish, Portuguese and Creole language skills are a plus but not required. Previous work in a call center or similar office is also helpful, but not as helpful as a great attitude!
