LendingTree recently identified the best and worst places for homeownership in the US. The company analyzed data from the Census Bureau on homeownership rates, home value appreciation, household income, and more.

Jacksonville came in #7 on the list citing a median home-sale price of $293,995. A 5-year median home value appreciation of 49.57%. A median household income for owner-occupied homes at $83,022. A median annual taxes for owner-occupied homes at $2,175 and a median ratio of housing costs to household income for owner-occupied homes at 17.5%.

Jacksonville was the only Florida city that made the list.

Christmas came early today for two awesome couples!

The first couple was referred to us by some good friends. This was their first home and we were able to help them through the home buying journey and find them the perfect home they had been searching for.

The second couple was a repeat client and friend of mine. I helped Kelley sell her home in Middleburg 5 years ago. She had enjoyed renting at the beach these past years but decided it was time to build her equity again. After searching a wide range of areas, we found her and her beau the perfect pool home.

There was a lot of real estate work done this weekend but we still made time for the very important family time.

We normally wait until the Saturday after thanksgiving to decorate and put up our Christmas tree but since we are camping over TDAY this year, I decided we were going to put it up before.

Although nothing is quite how you imagine it when two littles are running around, we had a special time putting up our family’s Christmas tree and my heart melts when I watch my girls love on each other. Feeling truly blessed this holiday season.
