Home isn’t always where you start.
If we were sitting on this porch together
I think we’d eventually talk about something people don’t always say out loud.
Sometimes,
Home isn’t a place you found,
✨It’s a place you had to build.
👉Maybe your first apartment didn’t feel like home.
👉Maybe you grew up moving every few years.
👉Maybe you’re raising kids in a house that no longer fits your family.
👉Or maybe you’re finally at a place in life where you’re thinking
✨It’s time for something that’s ours.
I think that’s why buying a home can feel so emotional.
It isn’t just about making a financial decision.
👉It’s about hoping life might feel different on the other side of it.
✨A little more settled.
✨A little more peaceful.
✨A little more rooted.
That’s something I never want to lose sight of as a Realtor.
Because every family walks into this process carrying a story that started long before they called an agent.
And every story deserves to be heard.
So here’s this week’s Front Porch question,
What’s one thing that has always made a place feel like “home” to you?
Not the address.
Not the size.
Just “the thing” that made it feel like home.
I’d love to hear your story.
