One of the biggest obstacles to homeownership for many buyers is saving for the down payment and closing costs. Life is expensive, and that challenge has only grown over the past several years. For many people, owning a home feels out of reach simply because they aren't sure how they'll come up with the funds needed to get started.
That's why I have partnered with Melanie Pilgrim, Canopy Mortgage, to offer a First-Time Homebuyer Education Class. This class is a prerequisite for Washington State's Down Payment Assistance Program and is designed to help buyers understand the homebuying process, financing options, and programs that may be available to help.
