Association Executive – Independent Contractor
Compensation: $3,000 per month
Job Summary
The Port Angeles Association of REALTORS® is seeking an organized, dependable, and self-motivated individual to serve as our Association Executive.
This is an independent contractor position that is primarily work-from-home, with regular in-person meetings and events in the Port Angeles area. Hours vary depending on meetings, events, deadlines, and the needs of the association, so flexibility is important.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and some bookkeeping or accounting experience. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple responsibilities, taking initiative, and working closely with members and association leadership.
Knowledge of the real estate industry is helpful but not required. The right candidate can learn the real estate-specific aspects of the position.
Responsibilities
• Perform bookkeeping using QuickBooks
• Onboard new members and assist with membership-related needs
• Maintain accurate membership records, including records in the National Association of REALTORS® database
• Prepare agendas and attend Board of Directors and membership meetings
• Send annual membership dues notices and track payments
• Organize and coordinate weekly Broker Tours
• Coordinate and set up for twice-monthly membership meetings
• Attend out-of-town business conferences and Association Executive training several times throughout the year
• Provide general administrative support to the association, its leadership, and members
Qualifications
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, QuickBooks, and other office management tools
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
• Flexible availability based on association meetings, events, and deadlines
• Ability and willingness to travel to out-of-town conferences and training
• Must reside in or near the Port Angeles area
• Real estate knowledge is helpful but not required
