The Moorings Sales Director, Keith Donley, found a distressed pelican in the lagoon and contacted the Animal Rehab Keep (ARK) and home owner Gary Wilson. The pelican was rescued and taken to the ARK where it could mend.

On Friday July 2, 2010, four Tall Ships graced the Port Aransas ship channel and all four moored at Navy Station Ingleside for the holiday weekend. The Eagle, the Coast Guard Academy training vessel arrived first. The Cauahtemoc from Mexico is pictured in the photos. Tall Ships also arrived from Uruguay and Chile and all four graced our harbor and allowed visitors on board. The ships arrival was delayed due to hurricane Alex but by Friday 3 of the 4 ships had arrived. Many people turned out to tour the ships over the weekend during their only US stop.
