Twenty-five years have passed, but we remember.
Here in Port Aransas and across the Coastal Bend, we know the meaning of community. We know what it means to look out for our neighbors, to show up when someone needs help, and to stand together when times are hard.
Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families whose lives were changed forever.
We honor the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military members, and everyday Americans who answered the call with courage and selflessness.
And we remember the spirit of unity that followed—a reminder that when we stand together, we are stronger.
From our little corner of the Texas coast, we pause today to honor those we lost, those who served, and those who continue to protect and serve our communities and our country.
25 years later. We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
