At the Smoked Mullet Awards on May 15, 2026, Nancy Wille and Esther Horton enchanted the crowd with hilarious tales from Englewood’s past—especially the unforgettable stories of Englewood’s n**e beaches. Yes, you heard that right!

Once upon a time, Manasota Key was a sanctuary for those seeking freedom and fun under the sun. Imagine lounging on the beach without a care in the world, enjoying true “Old Florida” vibes. Back in the day, spots like "The Sea Island Sanctuary" offered total privacy for sunbathers who embraced their natural selves.

Inspired by these nostalgic stories, Jessica Souza of Paradise Exclusive Real Estate decided it was time to honor our roots with some playful flair—introducing the “Make Englewood N**e Again” campaign. This “cheeky” initiative aims to celebrate our unique history while supporting the Lemon Bay Historical Society. All proceeds from merchandise will help keep Englewood's rich stories alive for generations to come.

Today’s stories at the Secret Society of Smoked Mullets award luncheon were a reminder that Englewood has always marched to the beat of its own drum… and honestly, that’s part of its magic.

Inspired by Englewood’s colorful past, including its lesser-known nudist colony history, this campaign is about preserving the charm, character, and Old Florida spirit that makes this place unlike anywhere else.

Because before the crowds, before the development, and before Florida became so polished… there was barefoot living, salty air, sunsets, and a community that embraced simplicity.

And thankfully, that spirit still lives here 🧡

Even better, proceeds from these shirt sales will benefit the Lemon Bay Historical Society to help preserve and continue sharing the stories of Englewood for generations to come.

Lets face it, life has been always been better barefoot. 🧡

Still wrapping my head around this one… 🧡

I’m incredibly honored to share that I’ve been selected as one of Inman’s 2026 Future Leaders in Real Estate, recognizing professionals under 40 who are helping shape the future of our industry.

What makes this especially meaningful is that this recognition goes far beyond production numbers or titles. It reflects the work happening behind the scenes- building systems that support agents, creating culture people actually want to be part of, embracing technology with intention, and leading with people first.

From growing alongside the amazing team at Paradise Exclusive, to speaking on stages, writing The Agent Playbook, and helping agents build businesses they’re proud of… this journey has been anything but traditional. But I’ve learned that some of the best things happen when you stop trying to fit the mold and start building something authentic.

To our agents, staff, leadership team, industry partners, friends, and family, thank you. Your trust, support, and belief in the vision mean more than you know.

And to every young leader in this industry with big ideas: keep going. The industry doesn’t need more copies. It needs more people willing to lead differently.

Had the pleasure of volunteering for the annual fundraiser, Tropical Nights. Honoring this beautiful event’s 30th anniversary, we chose the theme Pearls in Paradise…which obviously meant I had to buy a new pearl necklace 💁🏻‍♀️

Unlike other fundraisers where the funds go towards operations, 100% of the proceeds from this event go back to the Y membership through programming scholarships, financial assistance for dues, and so much more. This means every ticket sold, every auction item acquired, every sponsorship isn’t just to benefit the Y’s mission - but it directly helps our neighbors.

Such an honor to get to contribute to this mission and truly looking forward to next year. My notebook of ideas is already full 🫣

I’ve lived in three other states, but nothing compares to calling this place home. Crystal waters, sandy walkways, and palm trees whispering in the breeze. A slower pace. A simpler life - away from the city and far from the cold.

Coaching youth is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done in my life. Getting to be part of these children’s journey is such an honor. It goes far beyond the sport. It’s about teaching values, life lessons, and being a consistent adult in their lives who believes in them, challenges them, and loves them exactly as they are.

As the years go by, I’ve had the privilege of writing college recommendation letters, serving as a job reference, and offering academic and scholarship support. Watching these kids grow into incredible young adults is such a beautiful thing.

But maybe the most powerful part of all is what coaching has taught me about myself. These kids inspire me. They push me to be a better version of myself. They remind me how fleeting time is and how important it is to make the most of each moment. Most of all, they remind me that at our core, every human being simply needs a place where they feel safe, loved, and a sense of belonging.

I strive to provide that for others, both inside and outside the gym - for my family and friends, co-workers, & my community.

May you always feel a sense of value, belonging, and love 🫶🏻
