🌀Don't miss the free 2-day City of Venice Hurricane and Home Expo this week, May 29-30 at the Venice Community Center, 326 Nokomis Ave. S. on Venice island, in partnership with the Venice Gondolier.

➡️Friday, May 29: Federal, state, Sarasota County, municipal, emergency management, nonprofit and community groups tabling with the City. See below ⬇️ for that Friday's speaker schedule!

➡️Saturday, May 30: Storm prep, landscaping, and home improvement and recovery related business vendors tabling with the Gondolier

Speakers, raffles for generators and weather radios, giveaways, and food available for purchase both days, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

📖 Readers wanted!

Come to the Mid-County Regional Library and read to kids during our Read and Feed program in June! Folks of all ages and backgrounds are invited to share different languages and multicultural stories. Bring your own books or use ours!

🍏🍞 Read and Feed will be offered Monday-Thursday from 11:30-12:30 beginning June 8. School-aged kids and teens are welcome to enjoy a free meal provided by the Champs on Wheels Café (COW bus) and enjoy an activity with the librarian. Each week, our kids can build their personal libraries by choosing one free book when they visit. Meals will be served between 11:30am amd 12pm while supplies last.
