2026 has broken the record for the latest first Atlantic hurricane. As of September 25, there still has not been an Atlantic hurricane, even though September 10th - 25th it's peak! If we get through the rest of Hurricane season without a major Florida hurricane, you could potentially have a psychological reset going into the 2027 buying season.
Buyers who were waiting because of hurricane/insurance fears may become more comfortable.
Sellers may be more willing to put properties on the market.
Insurance availability and pricing could become a little less frightening if losses remain low.
Homes that have been sitting because buyers were worried about insurance may get more attention.
