Potential New Indoor Sports Facility in Port Chester – The Swing Loft⚾
I recently came across a proposal for The Swing Loft, an indoor sports training facility planned for 45 Ryan Avenue in Port Chester, and it’s something that could be a great addition to the Village.
The concept involves converting an existing warehouse, approximately 8,000 SF, into a high-level, appointment-based training environment focused on baseball development, strength training, and golf performance. The property also includes on-site parking, which is a major benefit for this type of use.
The location is directly adjacent to Columbus Park’s outdoor turf soccer field, creating a strong synergy with existing recreational facilities in the area.
Plans include batting cages, golf simulators, and dedicated training space designed to give athletes more individualized attention and a structured development setting.

The project is being designed by David A. Barbuti, Architect.
As someone who volunteers as a youth baseball coach and is involved with the Port Chester Youth Baseball League, I can say there is a real and growing demand for facilities like this. With limited indoor options locally, especially during colder months, this type of space could make a meaningful impact for the athletes in our community.
Timing couldn’t be better with opening weekend of travel baseball here.
It’s great to see thoughtful projects like this being proposed as Port Chester continues to evolve.
Would love to hear others’ thoughts on this.
