FYI - New HOA rules go into effect July 1st statewide related to fines
(copied from USA TODAY Florida)

Florida has a new law that limits the reasons homeowners' associations (HOAs) can fine you.
Why it matters: Around 45% of homes in Florida are part of an HOA, which oversees property appearance, parking, noise and more in a neighborhood. Membership is often a condition of home ownership.
Between the lines: The law sets new limits on what an association can demand of its members, curbs excessive fines and makes records more accessible to the public.

It's one of several laws passed this year to ease the burden these associations place on homeowners and eliminate some HOA restrictions on things like hurricane protection products.

The law bans HOAs from fining residents for leaving garbage cans out within 24 hours of trash collection or for keeping holiday decor up without first notifying them and giving them a week to remove it.

Associations can no longer restrict where residents park a personal vehicle as long as it complies with state, county and municipal regulations.
The law also requires HOAs to keep official records like bylaws and meeting minutes for at least seven years and make them available to residents within 10 days of a written request.
HOA officers, directors and managers who accept bribes can now face criminal prosecution and removal from office.

Come feel the Christmas Spirit this year by helping us wrap gifts for 140 teens in foster care today 12/16, at 11:00am, 375 Fleming Ave, Ormond (Holy Cross Church). All and any help is much appreciated, and delicious pizza and drinks will be provided, so be there!! This is also a great way for students to earn service hours, while having fun and working to give back to the community. Thank you and I hope to see you all soon. I know it’s the time of year where everyone is asking for help! But, please help! If you know me, you know that I am so passionate about helping these kids. My goal is to make them feel loved and somehow feel not so different for the holiday. We spend an average of $200.00 per child. Think about that when you are shopping. This year they are getting an mp3 player so they can have music. Music is so important for teens. It gives them an outlet and they are able to escape with music. It truly is therapy for many of them . These kids have no control over most things that are happening to them. This year they will receive a soft blanket , a journal, art kit, body wash , and a few small items. These children didn’t do ANYTHING wrong , it just isn’t safe for them to live at home. Imagine being 12-18, and not being home. I am seriously begging you all to share this and help. I can’t accomplish this alone. 100% of your donation is tax deductible and 100% goes to these kids.
