A very Hoppy Birthday this year! 🐰🥳✨

This was the 50th and final Easter Party hosted by my Dad’s dear friends. I’ve been going since before I can remember and now my own kids have been able to participate in all the fun festivities. I can only hope to be able to spend 50 years with my best friends, still partying and having fun.

The City of Port Orchard now has six, pre-approved plans for accessory dwelling units (ADU) available, free of charge. This includes 2 new recently approved plans! The new models are a large 1,000 square foot single-story ADU and a 2-story carriage house that can be configured with a 2-car garage with a 1-bedroom apartment above or a 3-car garage with a 2-bedroom apartment above.

The City is participating in a program that aims to encourage the construction of more accessory dwelling units within the City of Port Orchard, helping to expand the availability of affordable housing by making it easier and less expensive for community members to build ADUs on their property.

An ADU is a smaller, independent residential dwelling unit located on the same lot as a stand-alone (i.e., detached) single-family home. Anyone can use a pre-approved ADU plan in Port Orchard at no cost, as long as no modifications are made. We are happy to now be able to share the concept images for the four pre-approved plans and make these plans available. We anticipate additional building plans to be available later in the year.
