Jim and Vera, a senior couple, needed to sell their home in Kitsap County to move into a senior care community. They hired Silver Bridge Senior Transitions to help them move, liquidate the personal property, prepare their home for a sale at an optimum price and market the home to create an auction interest. The work proceeded well and the marketing effort produced substantially more showings than the area averages in the first two weeks. The JP Freeman Team had presented eight different cash offers from national institutional investors but Vera and Jim wanted to hold on. Suddenly, Jim and Vera’s health took a turn for the worse. One of their daughters, Melanie, had to step in to help. It was a good thing she did.
Then, for three weeks, crickets. It was running well into the wet, dark year end, a season not known well for consummating home sales. Job losses in the region were being reported daily.
