I recently had the opportunity to meet with Charles Cerami, a veteran, to discuss his vision for our schools and his campaign for the School Board. It quickly became clear that Charles brings the integrity, leadership, and dedication to service that our students, parents, teachers, and community deserve.
Charles is committed to bringing real-world experience, common-sense leadership, and transparency to the School Board. Rather than focusing on politics, he is focused on achieving meaningful results that benefit our students and strengthen our schools.
What truly impressed me was that Charles doesn't simply want students to "get by." He wants every student to thrive. I was especially encouraged by his commitment to helping students build confidence, develop healthy self-esteem, set meaningful goals, and achieve them. He believes our schools should also foster respect—both respect for oneself and respect for others—because those values are the foundation of strong character and future success.
His mission is to build upon the successes of our school district, address challenges with practical solutions, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential in a safe, supportive, and academically strong environment.
As a veteran, Charles understands the importance of service, accountability, and putting the needs of others before personal agendas. Those values are exactly what effective leadership requires.

I have had the privilege of knowing Eric for many years, and I can say without hesitation that he is one of the finest individuals I have had the opportunity to work with. Eric is a man who genuinely listens. He takes the time to understand people's concerns, offers thoughtful and practical advice, and, most importantly, truly cares about the people he serves.
Integrity, honesty, and strong values are not just words to Eric—they are the principles by which he lives. Those qualities are exactly what Port St. Lucie needs in its elected leadership. He has the courage to think independently, make decisions based on what is right, and stand firmly by his convictions. Eric is not interested in being part of any "good ol’ boys club." His loyalty is to the residents of Port St. Lucie, not to political insiders or special interests.

National Veterans Alliance Proudly Endorses Brian Capp for School Board District 1
Brian Capp is an Army veteran, a dedicated community leader, and a man of integrity who has spent his life serving others. He understands that leadership is about accountability, responsibility, and doing what is right—even when it isn't easy.
Brian believes our schools should return to their primary mission: educating our children. Every student deserves a strong foundation in reading, writing, mathematics, history, English, grammar, and critical thinking. These are the building blocks that prepare young people for college, careers, military service, and life.
He is committed to putting students first, supporting our teachers, and ensuring that parents are respected as partners in their children's education. Parents should have a voice in what their children are learning and should never be excluded from decisions that affect their education and well-being.
Brian also believes that our schools should help develop character along with academics. WOW... What an incredible day at my office, National Veterans Alliance. "MISSION FORWARD" Podcast!
Some interviews leave a lasting impression, and this was definitely one of them!
We were honored to welcome Chris Barnes, Strategic Advisor to Deputy Secretary Paul Lawrence at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C. While Chris was in town, he graciously accepted my invitation to visit my office and sit down for an outstanding podcast interview before he returned to Washington, DC
The conversation was informative, inspiring, and filled with valuable insights that every veteran, active-duty service member, and supporter will want to hear. I truly believe this is one episode you won't want to miss!
