The Treasure Coast Food Bank is partnering with St. Lucie County’s Parks, Recreation and Facilities staff to offer “Nutrition at the Fenn” - a free, four-part series focused on better cooking and eating habits for seniors, starting Tuesday, Feb. 18 inside the Havert L. Fenn Center.
This free series will focus on how to add more fruits and vegetables to your diet, eating healthy on a budget, portion control and more. Participants can join one or all four of these free educational programs.
• Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. - Reach Your Goals, Step by Step. Learn the benefits and number of fruits and vegetables to eat every week. Learn the benefits of participating in at least 30 minutes of physical activity most days. Set your goals for both and how to evaluate your success.
• Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. - Challenges and Solutions. Discuss common challenges you may face when achieving a physical activity goal and eating fruits and vegetables. Learn solutions to these challenges and plan to implement them.
