Rosie the Riveter became a symbol of strength, sacrifice, resilience, and courage during one of history’s most difficult seasons. This Memorial Day weekend we remember and honor not only the brave men and women who lost their lives overseas, but also the sacrifices made on the home front by families, workers, mothers, fathers, and communities who carried heavy burdens in support of freedom. 🇺🇸
We also pause to acknowledge those who served and are still carrying the cost of war long after returning home — those living with PTSD, TBI, Breacher’s Syndrome, physical injuries, emotional scars, and many unseen battles that often go unnoticed. Their sacrifice did not end when their service did. May we honor them not only with words, but with compassion, support, remembrance, and gratitude for the burdens they continue to bear every single day.
So many sacrifices were made — seen and unseen — so future generations could live in liberty. May we never take for granted the cost behind the freedoms we enjoy today.
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13
