The survivor stories shared was a powerful reminder that heart disease impacts so many families—and that simple knowledge, like hands-only CPR, can truly save lives when every minute matters.

Community leadership means showing up, supporting important causes, and helping create healthier futures.

Proud to join fellow in supporting the at the Red Fusion event last week.

We heard powerful updates from emergency managers and elected officials across Southwest Michigan who were on the front lines of the immediate response efforts following the March 2026 tornadoes that impacted Edwardsburg, Three Rivers, and Union City.

Moments like these are a reminder of how strong communities can be when organizations, leaders, and neighbors come together in times of need. Grateful to support the incredible work of the Red Cross and all those helping families recover.

From blight to opportunity.

The transformation of the former Tailgater building in downtown Marcellus is a great example of what can happen when communities and project partners rally behind a shared vision.

What was once a long-vacant property is now helping create new energy and momentum for the downtown district.

The Cass County Land Bank Authority engaged The Barton Group to serve as construction consultant for the stabilization efforts, including planning, oversight, contracting, and compliance support, with construction completed by ELITE COMPANIES.

Most locals knew this building as “The Tailgater.”

For years, it sat vacant in downtown Marcellus.

Now, it’s part of a larger effort to bring new life back to the community.

This blight elimination project focuses on stabilizing and preserving the structure — not tearing it down — as part of the Village’s long-term revitalization efforts.

The Barton Group was selected to support the project as a construction consultant, providing planning, oversight, contractor coordination, and compliance support.

We were brought in to support the project as a construction consultant, helping guide planning, oversight, and coordination.
