This is the forecast for home values in 2024. The National Association of Realtors predicts that we'll see a 1.4% appreciation in value, while Goldman Sachs see a 5% appreciation by the end of the year.

The real estate market is booming. Houses are selling so quickly, and many are receiving multiple offers and selling for more than asking price, so it is a phenomenal time to sell a home. Why are people afraid of selling?

But prices are still low. Michigan continues to lag about 20% behind the majority of the nation in home value, and interest rates are still at an incredibly low place. The average rate for a 15 year, fixed rate is 4.125%. Why are people afraid of buying?

I have an unpopular opinion on this. I think people are afraid of the real estate transaction because they don’t truly understand it, and we as Realtors have not always been on our A game in conveying our value to them.

A Realtor is your trusted advisor and they are contracted to work for your best interest.
A Realtor works for you.
A Realtor is your expert in the real estate market.
A Realtor is there to make sure you get to the closing table. Period.
A Realtor is there for you.
