Secured an under contract this morning while Maddie had a half day of school, and now we GET TO spend the afternoon outside helping Dad work and get things done for deer season. 🦌

SOLD! 🤝🏼🔑

This was an extra special one all the way around.

Travis and I had the opportunity to help both the buyers and seller close on this storage unit property just outside of Poynette, and we couldn’t be happier for everyone involved.

For the buyers — not only are they close friends of mine, but they’re great local business owners, and we are SO excited to see what they do with this property. The location, the setup, and the opportunities here are incredible, and I truly think what’s ahead is going to be something great for the community too.

And for the seller, this property has been such a special chapter of his life. There’s something pretty rewarding about getting to help someone close that chapter knowing it’s being handed off to people who are excited to carry it forward.

Just an all-around GOOD closing day. 🥹

A few things I wish more Realtors heard when they were starting out:

• You do NOT have to say yes to every client just because you’re young or new to the business.

• Having boundaries does not mean you aren’t hungry, motivated, or serious about your career.

• Paying for leads does not make someone a better Realtor. Building your business through referrals, relationships, family, friends, social media or word of mouth doesn’t make things handed to you either.

• There is no one “right” way to build a successful real estate business.

• You can work your ass off and still put your family first.

• You can say no to something that isn’t the right fit.

• Not everyone is going to like you, support you, or understand the way you choose to build your business. That’s okay.

• Focus more on helping people than selling to people. The rest has a funny way of following.

• And maybe the biggest one: someone else’s definition of success does not have to become yours.

I’m still learning as I go. I’ve taken some things on the chin, learned some lessons the hard way, and I know there will be plenty more.

But if any of it means I can hold the door open a little wider for the girls coming up behind me, I’m proud to do it.

I hope someday they get to sit in the shade of a few trees I helped plant.

Build something you’re proud of. But don’t ever feel like you have to sacrifice the life you’re building it for just to prove you belong here. 🤎

Some people you meet and just instantly know there’s something special about them and not because of what they do, but because of who they are.

Getting to know you through all of this has honestly been one of my favorite parts of the whole experience. Watching you Saturday night take the time to talk to every single person who wanted to meet you, never rushing anyone, listening to their stories, taking pictures, and making people feel like they mattered… that says so much more about you than anything I could ever write about your music.

And watching those little girls look up to you, then seeing you bring them right up on stage and let them have their moment with you… 🥹 I don’t think you even realize the kind of impact those little things have.

I think that’s why I’ve loved getting to know you so much. Underneath all of it, you’re just a small-town Midwest girl who loves hunting, fishing, the outdoors and the simple things in life. You have a heart of gold, girl. Humble, grounded, and so so kind. And LOVE that you, the band, and Brooklyn Hauge can have some good ole fashioned redneck cornfield campfire fun 🍻 you fit right in with all my friends like yall were meant to be there.

I’m just really grateful our paths crossed and even more grateful that this turned into a friendship. 🖤🖤
