TOMORROW is our big “Clear the Kennel” event, where Callander is covering 100% of adoption fees for any dog and/or cat you fall in love with. You don’t want to miss this!

Stories like Matt and Kiva’s are the reason why we host “Clear the Kennel” every year.

In just over a week, our community will have a chance to find their very own “Kiva.” (But not this Kiva, because she is happily taken!).

Our goal is to find homeless pets their forever home and, to help our mission along, we’re covering all adoption fees on July 17th from 1-6pm. (And on July 18th, stop by the SPCA and we’ll sponsor your adoption fee then as well).

No one would argue with the fact that Eric Bolles is the biggest cat lover in our office.

So, of course, when Stephanie found a mama cat in an empty property in Battle Creek, Eric was the first person she got on the phone.

He was adamant – “Before you drop them off at the SPCA, I need to meet them!”

Through Stephanie’s car window, he fell in love with the mama cat, who he named “Mittens.” The SPCA took great care of Mittens and her kittens. After the kittens were ready for their forever homes, she came home to live with Eric.

You probably won’t be surprised to learn that the two of them are inseparable. Mittens is now living her best life, all because of that fateful property showing in Battle Creek.
