The numbers are in for February. The most interesting number in this is the "Total Market Time". This is how long it takes (on average) for a home to close, and we are all the way up to 89 days on market.

If you are planning on selling this year. That is something to keep in mind. You could be priced perfectly, have great photos, and a great home, but if your home is not selling after a month or two. DO NOT PANIC. It is important to understand market trends before deciding to slash price.

Fur babies are the best, but they can be messy and sometimes a little stinky. Here are four pointers for pet owners when you are preparing to sell...
1. Stow away the toys - in general you want to eliminate as much clutter as possible when you're home is on the market. This includes tucking away Fido's favorite rope to chew on.

2. Fixing damage caused by pets - This can include cleaning or painting doors and trim. Laying grass seed where needed and possible fixing sections of flooring.

3. A deep clean - This goes a long way with eliminating hair, and dander in the air. a deep clean is ALWAYS recommended before listing, whether you have a pet or not.

4. MOST IMPORTANT - Try to eliminate odors as best you can - Cat owners... I'm looking at you. It is very easy to go "nose blind" to pet odors, I recommend putting the litter box in the garage, or in a back bathroom, as well as using arm & Hammer Odor remover when you're vacuuming. I have seen a clients lose interest in a home because of the smell.... Don't let that be your home!
