Your confidence in me is extremely important; let me introduce myself. Married to a hunter with two extremely active boys the need to stay vigilant is an understatement. Between work, school, basketball, family and friend activities [the beautiful chaos of life] is where I thrive best. Joey and I have been married for 2.5 years; together for 6 years. He has a love for hunting and the outdoors, but
a passion for business. His passion challenges me to exercise my critical thinking skills daily. He is my biggest encourager, motivator, and teacher. Doing anything and everything possible to assure my life aspirations come true. Our oldest son, Xander [5 years old], has never stopped moving since the moment he arrived. Once walking was introduced, at 9 months[!!] “pedal to the metal” was the only statement to live by. Developing a love for basketball at an extremely young age, we have now filled every spare moment with it. He is dedicated, disciplined, and passionate. He hopes to start with a competitive league next year, once he is age- eligible. He loves being a big brother, and his brother can tell. Our youngest, Jasper [1.5 years old], is a tank. Wrestling his brother and playing with cars are his biggest interests, so far. He has a loud voice [isn’t afraid to use it] and curious mind. He’s caring, independent, and fearless. I grew up in Nottingham, England [Yes, the home of Robin Hood] which provided me with a vast array of experiences in different cultures and aesthetics. These cultural introductions were made possible through my parents missions work. I encountered cultures and their architectures, methods of building, different design styles and established a love for such art. Through those same experiences I developed a passion for service. The lack of exposure, access to supplies, health education locally and internationally for so many created a puzzle I HAD to be a part of solving. This desire to serve has never left me. Following service in public health, first, I graduated with a bachelors in Public Health; with a specialty in Maternal/ Child health. After working a few years in this field I became pregnant and wanted the ability to stay home with my son. Bringing in an income was still required of me; I had to figure something else out. I started a daycare. I had a home, a degree that qualified me, and toys. I developed a curriculum, had 12 active children enrolled at all times, and ran that business for 5 years. With no passion for teaching in this form, I was again encouraged to brainstorm other career options. It wasn’t apparent to me how I could turn such a love for architectural art and passion for service into a career I saw myself in until I turned 30 years old. I finally had my epiphany. I am steady, confident, trustworthy, respected, and knowledgeable. I am an excellent listener and communicator. With my ‘calm under pressure’ instincts, the thrills in life excite me! Yes, they can be stressful. Yes, they can be scary. But, oh how they bring so many people together!
