🔑 This moment right here… keys in hand. We made it! 🏡❤️

We started this journey back in March and hit the ground running—searching, touring several homes, and writing two offers. We got outbid on one, couldn’t quite come together on terms on another, took a little pause, and then started the search again.

And even after finding the one, the road wasn’t completely smooth. We extended the option period twice, extended the closing date, and worked through a few bumps along the way.

Because the truth is, not every home-buying journey is straightforward. Sometimes there are curves, challenges, and moments that require a little extra patience, faith, and clear communication. But today, all of that led to this moment—keys in hand! 🔑🙌🏽

I’m incredibly grateful for my buyer’s trust throughout this process and for the entire team of professionals who worked together to help get my client across the finish line.

I’ve had the incredible honor of being there for so many special milestones with these first-time homebuyers—from celebrating their wedding 💍, to walking alongside them through the homebuying process and handing them the keys to their first home 🏡, and now celebrating them as they prepare to welcome their sweet baby. 🍼👶🏽

Real estate may have brought us together, but being invited to share in these beautiful moments is something I don’t take for granted.

I’m truly honored and humbled to have been a small part of it all.

Hey, it’s Peggy! 👋🏽❤️

I thought it was time for a little introduction—or reintroduction—to the person behind the real estate posts.

I’m Peggy Chavez, a Broker Associate with Associated Brokers Group, REALTORS®, serving Portland, Corpus Christi, and communities throughout the Coastal Bend.

Real estate is a big part of my professional life, but it isn’t my only professional background. I’m also a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and spent many years working in the counseling field.

At first glance, counseling and real estate may seem like two completely different careers, but for me they’ve always shared something important—people.

Listening. Communicating. Educating. Problem-solving. Meeting people where they are and helping them navigate important decisions.

Those are skills I’ve carried with me and into the way I serve my real estate clients today. 🏡❤️

And while this is my business page, I don’t want it to be just listings and sold signs. I want to share useful real estate information, our Coastal Bend communities, and a little of the person behind the business, too.
