It can feel overwhelming, stressful, and like a lot to manage on your own.

To check if you already have the exemption:
1. Visit: Biddeford Assessment Database (https://gis.vgsi.com/biddefordme/)
2. Click: Enter Online Database
3. Enter your property address and click Search
4. Scroll to the bottom under Valuation History → Exemptions

To apply for the Homestead Exemption (if you haven’t yet):

The exemption amount may vary slightly based on the City’s Certified Ratio. For example, a $25,000 exemption in FY26 was applied as $24,800 due to Biddeford’s 98% certified ratio.

Let me reintroduce myself.
I’m Thibe (T.B.), a Southern Maine native and Realtor.

Over the past couple of years, I made a very intentional decision to prioritize both my business and my life in a way that allowed me to show up fully, where it mattered most. I didn’t try to do everything at once. I stayed selective, worked with the clients I could give my full attention to, and made sure every transaction was handled with care, grit, and integrity.

At the same time, many of you have seen the other side of me, being a mom. That has always been a priority. I’ve put in the time, the energy, and the effort to support my family and daughter in becoming who she is today. And now, we are entering a new season.

With her becoming more independent, and yes driving soon, the energy I have poured into that chapter is shifting. That shift is allowing me to reinvest fully back into my business.

This was not a decision I took lightly. I wasn’t looking to just switch brokerages. I was looking to align myself with the kind of environment I want to grow in long term. As an entrepreneur, company values and vision matter. Where you are headed matters. Being part of something you believe in matters.

I have always believed in showing up, doing the work, and treating people the right way. Clients, lenders, and other agents alike. That standard does not change. What changes is the level I am able to operate at moving forward.

The decision to align my business with Real came down to exactly that. A company and technology built from the ground up, with a focus on both clients and agents. With leading technology, opportunities for financial growth, health insurance options, stock incentives, and a structure that supports agents not just in business, but in building their future. Agents, if this caught your eye, reach out anytime. I’d be more than happy to chat!

Real has been named the 2026 Business Lending Innovation Award winner by FinTech Breakthrough, selected from over 4,500 global nominations.

For me, this is more than a brokerage move. It is about building my financial safety net, creating long term growth, and aligning my business with something that supports my family’s future.

The culture is simple. Work hard, be kind. A place that values professionalism, consistency, and collaboration, not just numbers.

And for me, that matters.

If you have worked with me before, you already know how I operate.
If you have not yet, I am just getting started.

~♥️ Be You, Always~

It looks like we've got a whopper coming in for this weekend. If you are displaced by the snow storm or have a power outage, the Elmwood Resort is once again offering special rates - One bedroom condos are available at $75 per night and two bedroom townhouse condos at $105 per night. While we don't have a generator at the property, we're fortunate to be on the same grid as the Police & Fire Station, the School System, and the Urgent Care. If we do lose power, it is generally back up fairly quickly. These special rates are not available online, so please call 207.646.1038 to reserve and allow a little time for us to heat up the condo. Please stay safe!

❗️❗️Calling all Rental Property Owners!

We need your help❗️❗️

The Maine Legislature https://legislature.maine.gov/ has a STATEWIDE RENTAL REGISTRY proposal (LD 1806) that will be discussed again in the Joint Standing Housing & Economic Development Committee soon. LD 1806 would require YOU as a housing provider to register your rental properties with the state.(among other provisions)

🚨WHY is this IMPORTANT?
-MORE regulation on housing providers does not address our state’s need for more housing
-Additional Regulations= higher cost and fewer available options

LET THEM KNOW: A costly rental registry will not help Maine’s housing needs, instead efforts should be focused on encouraging the development of housing of all types, rental assistance programs, and continued tax incentives that make housing developments and access to housing more attainable for Mainers.

❌VOTE NO on LD 1806- A rental registry will create another regulatory expense for our state, and our housing providers in Maine!

How can you get involved?
Contact the legislators who serve on the HED committee today!
